Both products do the same thing — they extend WiFi coverage in your home. But they work differently and suit different situations.
WiFi extender
Connects to your router and boosts the signal further into your home. Acts as a relay — takes the router signal and rebroadcasts it. Pros: cheap (from €29), easy setup, works with any router. Con: creates a second WiFi network, your phone may not switch automatically. Best for: apartments and small homes with 1–4 problem rooms.
Mesh system
Replaces your router with multiple devices that work together as one network. Your phone connects automatically to the nearest node without interruption. Pros: one WiFi for the whole home, seamless roaming. Con: more expensive (from €49), requires more setup. Best for: larger homes, multi-storey buildings, families with many devices.
Which one to buy?

- Weak WiFi throughout the home → mesh (Deco M4)
- 10+ devices including smart home → mesh is more reliable
- Do not want to replace the router → extender is the right choice
